Choose the matching refill: This inker replenishes a VersaFine CLAIR Ink Pad. Match both the colour name and colour number on your pad and refill labels. Use the specified VersaFine CLAIR refill, not another ink range, even if the colour name looks similar.
Re-ink or replace? Consider re-inking when impressions become pale and the pad surface is still in good condition. A new pad may be more practical if the surface is damaged or contaminated, or you cannot identify the original colour.
Basic use: Follow the bottle's application instructions. Replenish gradually, allow the ink to absorb, then test-stamp on scrap paper before adding more. Avoid flooding the pad or heavily inking your stamp.
Drying: VersaFine CLAIR is an oil-based pigment ink that dries by absorption. Use absorbent, uncoated paper or cardstock; it is not suitable for low-absorbency coated paper. Drying varies with the paper, ink colour and conditions, and heavy ink coverage can take longer. Check that the impression is dry before handling or adding watercolour.
Storage: Close the pad lid and refill cap after use. Store pads and inkers horizontally in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, humidity and freezing conditions.
