A mask is a plastic stencil. You can use the stencil in combination with ink, embossing powder or a paste.

How to use with ink:
Place the stencil on your cardstock. Tape it down with a piece of temporary adhesive to prevent the stencil from moving. Use a blending tool, dap it in an ink pad and go over you stencil in round movements. Use as many colours as you want. Clean your stencil with a baby wipe.

How to use with embossing powder:
Place the stencil on your cardstock. Tape it down with a piece of temporary adhesive to prevent the stencil from moving. Firmly press your embossing ink pad onto the stencil. Remove the stencil and cover your paper with embossing powder. Put the excess powder back into the jar. Heat your paper with a heat tool and have a look at the result! Clean your stencil with a baby wipe.

How to use with paste:
Place the stencil on your cardstock. Tape it down with a piece of temporary adhesive to prevent the stencil from moving. Use a spatula to put some paste on your stencil. Even it out over the entire stencil. Carefully remove the stencil and let it dry before you continue working on your card. Clean your stencil immediately after use with water and soap. Once the paste is dry, it will be difficult to clean your stencil.
